Power-X HPC Clusters
| Under our Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG), Digital Waves offers “Power-X HPC Clusters”. We basically offer ‘Build-To-Order’ HPC Clusters with a Complete Solutions Stack. Our Master Node & Compute Node Hardware consists of Power-X Servers. Our Rackmount Server Chassis are available in 2U/1.3U/1U with/without Hot-Swap Hard Disk Bays; with Single or Redundant Power Supply Unit; & Rail Kits. The nodes can either be 2Way or 4Way Servers. The interconnects are either Gigabit or Infiniband. We also offer our own Open Racks of 19" x 42U x 1000mm with all standard features. We use standard & free distribution of GNU/Linux OS and ROCKS Cluster Suite. We also offer RHEL, SUSE, CentOS & OCS (Open Cluster Suite from Platform) Distributions. Power-X HPC Clusters are specifically designed for DCC (Digital Content Creation) / Rendering / Animation, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), Number Crunching & Computational Research, Weather Modelling, Bio-Informatics, EDA, Oil & Gas Exploration, applications. Our major customers are Govt. Academic & Research Organisations (IISc, IIT, RRI, CSIR Labs, etc), Space Research Organisations, Educational Institutions, Defence & Corporates. |

RedHat launches HPC Solutions Stack
Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, today announced the delivery of the industry’s first integrated Linux-based High Performance Computing (HPC) platform with the global availability of the Red Hat HPC Solution, an all-in-one stack that customers can leverage to deploy, run and manage their HPC clusters. First announced in collaboration with Platform Computing in November 2007, the HPC Solution is available today through Red Hat Network with the backing of Red Hat’s global 24x7 customer support services. Today, with the availability of the comprehensive Red Hat HPC Solution, customers of all levels and workloads are offered the benefits of high-performance computing through an easy-to-install, end-to-end solution that can be deployed in under one hour.
The Red Hat HPC Solution incorporates all of the components necessary to deploy and maintain HPC clusters, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2, the world’s leading open source operating system, and Platform Computing’s cluster software framework, Platform Open Cluster Stack 5. The solution also includes device drivers, a simple cluster installer, cluster management tools, a resource and application monitor, interconnect support and Platform Lava, a powerful job scheduler. |
